This is a great beam for begginners. My daughter is 8 yrs old and it's great for practicing handstands & cartwheels. I don't think it would be good for trying anything more difficult. It's not very heavy so it does move a little bit when she is using it. It's very lightweight & she can pick it up, fold it and put it away all by herself. I am happy….
